Our Teachers
Nancy Whitmore has a B.A. in Women's Studies from Lewis and Clark College. After college, Nancy taught English to children and adults in Japan. It was in Japan where she discovered a strong passion for Early Childhood Education. She later worked for 8 years as Lead Toddler and Preschool Teacher at Metro Kids in Portland where she thrived on creating nurturing spaces for the social and emotional development of young children. After the birth of her second child she became a stay at home mom but stayed busy volunteering in her kids' schools advocating for arts and music education. Nancy has returned to her love of early childhood and is delighted to be part of the Dragonfly Preschool family. Music has always played a huge role in her life and she can often be heard breaking into song with the Dragonfly preschoolers.
